It is also possible to reach Paro by road from other parts of Bhutan, but for international travelers, flying to Paro is the most common way to come.

Paro is beautiful in all seasons, but many people find spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) to be especially good times to visit. In spring, the rhododendron flowers bloom with many colors, and the weather is pleasant. Autumn brings clear skies for mountain views, and it is also the time for many of our festivals. Summer (June to August) can have rain, and winter (December to February) is colder, especially higher in the valley, but even in winter, the skies can be clear and beautiful.
